With a career spanning over 35 years, John’s experience includes grocery retailing, the automotive industry and the coatings & construction sector with market leading companies such as Tesco, Unipart and Dulux. He also has over 10 years experience of multiple board memberships including ICI PLC alongside responsibilities as a Pension Board Trustee.
Whilst experienced in B2C, John is especially skilled in B2B retailing. He has the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation, driving high levels of teamwork, collaboration and engagement, empowering teams to work effectively with customers and deliver the best possible outcome.
Past achievements include leading the creation and delivery of a growth strategy for Dulux Decorator Centre in the UK, growing the business footprint by over 30% to become truly nationwide through multiple new store openings, bolt on acquisitions and e-commerce, alongside the introduction of a number of industry leading customer service initiatives driving profitable sales growth.
